Forex Trading Advice - Why You Shouldn't Use a Forex Robot

Forex robots are a popular choice for many traders but there are two main reasons that trader fail with a robot even if it's a good one and the reasons are enclosed...

The first point to keep in mind is this.

1. Most Forex Robots Never Make Money

All the ones you see heavily advertised which cost $200 dollars or less fail to make money and the reason is simple - they are based on unsound logic and have poor money management. If you look at the track records, there all made up in hindsight or the supposed real ones, you never get an independent audit from a reliable source, so they cannot be relied upon.

Anyone can make money in hindsight - but the claims these robots make are just fantasy. You see many claiming they will double your money every month and with less than 1% drawdown! This is laughable and not true.

Avoid any hyped robot and look for one with a real track record of gains but even when you find one, its not a walk in the park to make money with it - Why?

2.= The Discipline to Follow Objective Signals

Most traders have a problem with following signals from even a successful robot as you have no control, you simply follow. Now this is easy when your winning but all Forex robots even the best, will have losses and they can last for many weeks. You have to trust your robot, keep your emotions under control and follow it, until you hit a home run and this is simply not easy to do.

The above is hard for most traders and they can't do it.

Some traders can but their a minority. If you are patient, disciplined trader and have learned the logic of the system, you can do it but most traders have emotional problems following a system, even when they know the logic is soundly based - they simply find it hard to give up control.

Manual Trading V Automatic Trading

By manual trading I mean you have a set of rules but you have control, to pass trades by or take them and for most traders this is the better option. They are involved and have control. Automatic trading suits the very disciplined trader.

Neither method is better than the other and the one you choose is down to personal preference.

You can enjoy currency trading success but whichever method you choose, make sure you understand exactly what your doing and why your system will lead you to profits, so you can follow it with discipline.
